A medical massage can promote mobility as well as regeneration after surgical interventions. It is a gentle treatment that systematically promotes the self-healing powers of the organism. By stimulating the metabolism, it supports tissue and bone rehabilitation.
Other typical areas of application after trauma are swellings, bruises, lymphedema, torn muscle fibers, etc., which are treated by manual lymphatic drainage, for instance.
Besides working on the muscles, healing massage can also work on the fasciae. Aponeurotic fascia are the basis for shape, position and posture. Slow, powerful traction aims to bring fixed misalignments such as rounded backs, pelvic misalignment or hollow backs back into the physiological lines of balance.
In addition, fascial work stimulates the secretion of hyaloronic acid, which promotes mobility between muscles.
For conditions affecting the spine and nerves, such as postural deformities, slipped discs, tension and rheumatic problems, the healing process can be specifically supported by medical massage.
By kneading, stroking, rubbing, tapping and vibrating, the massage therapist advances into the deep tissue layers and thus stimulates blood circulation and metabolism. The loosening of the tissues relaxes the nerves, which leads to pain relief.
By stimulating the reflex arc (nerves), the effect of medical massage spreads to the organs.
Conditions such as digestive problems, breathing difficulties, headaches, migraines, menstrual cramps and circulatory problems are treated by reflectory techniques such as acupuncture massage, foot reflex massage, connective tissue massage and segmental massage. This results in positive changes in the internal organs and non-invasive improvement of symptoms.
Reimbursement of treatment costs by the health insurance company is not handled automatically. You pay the total amount of the treatment in our practice and then submit the invoice(s) together with the doctor's order to your health insurance company. The amount of the reimbursement will then be transferred to your account. Please remember to bring your doctor's order with you to the appointment with us.

Remember to use your "SVS Gesundheitshunderter" ! If you are insured with SVS, you have the opportunity to be reimbursed up to 100 euros once a year for massages and bodywork.

My fascination with the human body and its unique nature led me to train as a massage therapist in 2020. Since then, I have continued to develop through further training in the fields of craniosacral therapy and women's remedial massage.
Before moving from Styria to Vienna, I worked both in a physical institute and in my own practice in Graz. I am currently also studying music therapy. As a medical massage therapist, my aim is to offer people the opportunity to find relaxation and let go through the use of various massage techniques and intuitive bodywork.
I was born and grew up in Salzburg. I studied fashion design and have since worked at various theaters. I have always been attracted to the theater because of its power to touch the audience at its core. During my training as a medical massage therapist, I realized that this is possible even more effectively through direct skin contact.
I have previously worked in physical medicine, the spa sector and the high-end hotel industry. Alongside my job, I have completed further training to become a curative massage therapist. I enjoy continually developing myself as a therapist and as a person and discovering new things.
I have been working as a massage therapist and naturopath for over ten years. I am from the French part of Switzerland and before coming to Vienna eight years ago, I managed a practice in Geneva and later in Zurich. Since 2013 I have been practicing in Vienna in various spa and luxury hotels and have completed my training as a therapeutic massage therapist here.
At the end of 2019 I founded massagepraxis neubau. Alongside my work as a massage therapist, I completed a master's degree in art and theory at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
The massagepraxis neubau is located on the first floor of Neubaugasse 63, Stiege 2 in the inner courtyard. Ring the bell at no. 13 and follow the hallway to staircase 2.
